Free, Pro, and Business plans, refunds, billing, and what happens when you reach your monthly limit.

What does the Free plan include?

The Free plan gives you 60 minutes/month with full access to every feature, no credit card required. You get all 99 supported languages, speaker identification, AI summaries, AI chat, and downloads in TXT, SRT, DOC, and PDF.

When you hit your monthly limit, your next file will be trimmed to whatever quota you have left — see What happens when I run out of monthly hours? for the details. Your quota resets at the start of the next month, or you can upgrade anytime to get more hours instantly.

What's included in the Pro plan?

The Pro plan is $9.99/month and gives you 10 hours/month. That's enough for daily meetings, regular podcast episodes, or content creators recording 10-20 minutes a day.

You get everything in the Free plan plus much more capacity. If you upgrade after a Free transcription got trimmed, we automatically reprocess it with the full audio so you don't lose anything. Annual billing is $99/year (20% off). See pricing for the full plan comparison.

What's included in the Business plan?

The Business plan is $24.99/month and gives you 50 hours/month — built for teams, journalists, podcasters, researchers, and anyone with high-volume transcription needs.

You get everything in Pro plus the ability to buy extra hours at $1.99/hour when you need more capacity in a busy month. Annual billing is $249/year (20% off). Compare plans on the pricing page.

What is the Legacy plan?

The Legacy plan is a grandfathered subscription for users who signed up before our pricing restructure. If you have it, your benefits and price haven't changed — you keep everything you signed up for.

Legacy plans aren't available to new subscribers. If you'd like to switch to the current Pro or Business plan, you can do that anytime from your billing portal — but you can't switch back to Legacy once you leave it.

What happens when I run out of monthly hours?

When you reach your monthly limit, your next upload is trimmed to whatever time you have left — so a 30-minute file with 10 minutes of quota remaining will produce a 10-minute transcription.

Trimmed transcriptions are clearly labeled in your dashboard and we tell you up front before processing. If you upgrade afterward, we automatically reprocess the trimmed file with the full audio — see What if I upgrade after a Free transcription got trimmed?. Your quota resets at the start of each month.

Can I buy extra hours on Business?

Yes — Business plan subscribers can buy extra hours at $1.99/hour whenever they need more capacity. Click Buy Extra Hours in your account settings and pick the amount you need.

Extra hours don't expire — they roll over until you use them, even across billing cycles. They're billed once at purchase, separately from your monthly subscription. Extra hours aren't refundable, but they're yours forever once purchased.

How do I switch plans?

Visit your subscription page and click Change Plan. Pick the plan you want and we'll update your subscription immediately.

Upgrades are pro-rated — you pay the difference for the rest of your current billing period and get the new hour limit right away. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, so you keep your current benefits until then. Plan changes are handled by Stripe, so the experience is the same as any other subscription you manage.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes — cancel anytime from your subscription page. You'll keep access to your current plan until the end of your billing period, then drop to the Free plan with 60 minutes/month.

Cancelling doesn't trigger a refund (see Do you offer refunds? for the 7 days window). Your transcriptions stay in your account — they're not deleted just because you cancel. You can resubscribe anytime to get your hours back.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes — you can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you're unsatisfied.

After the 7 days window, we don't refund partial billing periods, but you can cancel anytime and you'll keep access until the end of your current period. To request a refund, just email us at [email protected] with your account email — we usually respond within one business day.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Annual plans are eligible for the same 7 days window after the initial purchase.
  • Extra hours purchased on the Business plan are non-refundable, but they don't expire — they carry over until you use them.
  • Cancelling doesn't trigger a refund; it just stops the next renewal. See How do I cancel my subscription? for the steps.

How do I update my payment method or download invoices?

Visit your subscription page and click Manage Billing. You'll be redirected to the secure Stripe billing portal where you can update your card, change your billing address, download past invoices as PDFs, and see your billing history.

The billing portal is run by Stripe (our payment processor), so it's the same interface you've probably seen on other subscription services. We don't store your card details ourselves — Stripe handles all of that securely.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes — annual billing saves 20% compared to monthly. Pro is $99/year (vs $9.99/month × 12) and Business is $249/year (vs $24.99/month × 12).

Switch to annual from your subscription page — pick the Yearly toggle when changing plans. Annual subscriptions are billed once up front and renew once a year. The same 7 days refund window applies after the initial purchase, so you can try annual without commitment.
